About Dr. Tamar Shtrambrand
Dr. Tamar Shtrambrand is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Psychologist committed to fostering a warm, trusting, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore, grow, and heal. With decades of diverse professional experience, Dr. Shtrambrand combines deep clinical expertise with empathy and a strengths-based perspective.
Before becoming a psychologist, she spent over 20 years as an Occupational Therapist, working with individuals across the lifespan, including those with severe physical and developmental disabilities. This experience provides her with a comprehensive understanding of her clients’ lives and informs her holistic approach to psychological care.
Dr. Shtrambrand’s therapeutic approach is eclectic and evidence-informed, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic methods, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She continually expands her skill set to ensure that each client receives the most effective techniques tailored to their unique needs.
She works with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and groups, supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, OCD, trauma/PTSD, mood disorders, ADHD, relationship challenges, parenting issues, grief, and aging-related concerns. Dr. Shtrambrand honors the role of spirituality and personal meaning in healing, and draws on her own life experiences to inspire clients toward resilience, balance, and growth.
